Systems Engineer (Instrumentation)

Eden Scott’s Client based in central Scotland is a global provider to the Oil and Gas sector specialising in flow metering systems and instrumentation. Due to continued success and expansion they are currently looking for a EI Design Engineer to join their Team.

The successful candidate will provide a focus of E&I Engineering support for Systems, Products and Services projects to meet contract & customer specifications; complying with national and international standards and sound engineering practices. From initial conception through construction, final testing and through life support.

Responsibilities:

• E&I Engineering support and guidance to the Sales, Applications and Projects teams.
• Development of system instrumentation & control system hardware designs from applications to detailed design / as-build stage.
• Technical review and analysis of specifications and standards to assist compliance.
• Preparation of calculations, analysis and specifications to support bids, purchase and project / product engineering requirements.
• Deliver Project documents in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet or exceed the project schedule.
• Engineering support during manufacture / fabrication and support to Software Department for test, inspection, supplier / sub-contractor visits.
• Provide Hardware Engineering support in developing their Metering Control System.
• Support Global Engineering Initiatives and take an active role in engaging the Stirling Engineering Team
• Liaise with and Manage E&I Engineering Work Packages with overseas sections of the business, EEEC and other BCC to support engineering efforts from Stirling.
• Provide an input into the allocation of Engineering Resource to support Projects, Products and Service, working with the Project Managers and Operations & Engineering Manager.



The ideal candidate will be educated to HND/Degree level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering or other related discipline with a strong background in skid package wiring, instrumentation and control panel hardware.
