As part of the SSE group, SSE Contracting is a leading Mechanical and Electrical Contractor in the UK delivering a service ranging from small re-wires to major design and build projects.  We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Engineer to join our team in Bristol.

You’ll take responsibility for successfully delivering contracts and to make sure they are profitable.  Regular liaison with Commercial and Design Management is required to discuss design, quality and programme, and monitoring costs is part of your weekly routine.  You will need to forecast resources and will ensure the site teams perform their duties safely at all times.  You will also identify business opportunities with both new and existing clients.

In order to carry out the role successfully you need to hold appropriate technical trade qualifications, ideally at C&G, ONC or HNC level.  You should have a good track record in electrical installation projects and will have knowledge of the local area and local industries.

You must be commercially aware and it’s vital that you are can develop productive working relationships with suppliers and clients.  You’ll display confidence when directing others, will be able to use your own initiative and will be flexible.
