My client is a very well respected, international manufacturer in the industrial refrigeration industry. Due to their ongoing success and expansion they have an immediate requirement for a Refrigeration Project Engineer based from their offices in Kent.
This new role will have responsibility for project control and execution of medium to large refrigeration and air conditioning projects secured in the South East Area. You will order quality project parts and components at best value and ensure that they arrive on time and at the correct location. You will be responsible for ensuring that all trades and subcontractors working for us maintain a high standard of workmanship, professionalism and delivery and that all contractual obligations are fulfilled by both parties ensuring that all projects make their targeted Margin/Profit, and control variations on projects. You will create and adjust accurate project schedules using MS Project, create reports to ensure management/clients are fully aware of both the financial performance and the Project delivery performance and report on performance of suppliers to assist in their annual evaluation by us. At all times you will ensure that all Health & Safety considerations are met and catered for on all contracts, including ongoing control and reporting to the central HSQE function. You will be responsible for making sure communications with the Client are maintained at a very high level of quality and effectiveness, that the finished/snagged plant is handed over to the client, and that the Client is satisfied with the Company’s performance and for ensuring all necessary Client training is put in place and executed. You will: Have a proven track record in engineering project management (preferably in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector); have knowledge of refrigeration systems with the capability to select system components; possess strong leadership skills required to manage subcontract labour.
The package will depend on experience but a basic in the region of £36-£38k will be on offer along with a company car and a generous benefits package.
