Job Title: Field Engineer UK Power Networks
Description

 


The Field Engineer will work as part of a team to deliver capital programme, connection, maintenance and fault resolution within the London geographical area. This will include liaison with customers, network operations and control, networks planning as well as supervision of field staff and management of contractors.

The post holder will be an integral part of the team reporting to the Lead Field Engineer delivering primarily emergency repair activities (both HV and LV) in the North West London Area.

As a Field Engineer you will need to build productive relationships with customers, delivery contractors and other professionals within UK Power Networks such as Control Engineers.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience required:


  • Good organisational and communication skills

  • ONC Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent (if not achieved, must be committed to undertaking studies)

  • Authorised Person or Senior Authorised Person to 11kv in a DNO

  • IT literate & familiarity with MS Excel spreadsheets

  • Current valid driving licence

  • NRSWA (City & Guilds) Supervisors certificate would be beneficial

  • IOSH Managing Safely certificate is desirable


 

If the successful candidate does not possess the necessary qualifications, they would be appointed to an alternative lower indicative salary range.  A clear development plan would be agreed to enable the successful candidate to progress to the correct indicative salary.
