Job Title: Real Time Systems Engineer Eden Scott
Description

Continued commercial success and expansion means they seeking applications from enthusiastic Real Time Systems Engineers. The successful candidate will be involved in our client’s strategy of delivering growth and Large Capital Projects, which is scheduled to deliver significant returns by 2013
Real Timer Systems have the responsibility for the computing environment associated with control and operation of Power Systems plant including operationial communications. The Delivery team are responsible for control computing / electronic equipment at the point of service i.e where it is connected to electrical plant, and operationial communications to the point of service. In this job context it would include the HVDC Control equipment, Master Control equipment, and the Multi-Terminal Test Environment.

Key knowledge & skill requirements:

• Computing Hardware both industrial and ‘commercial’ Electronic Control Systems
• Remote Control Technology.
• Appreciation of Control System Applications ideally in a utilities environment.
• Knowledge of protocols and communication technology.
• Telecommunication transmission technology.
• Ethernet TCP/IP
• A good understanding of importance of Health and Safety within the workplace.
• The ability to quickly absorb new concepts and to self-study new technologies in fields related to the post.
• To work collaboratively with stakeholders in particularly Contractors
• To manage stakeholders expectations, in production of the agreed deliverables.
• Able to deal with initial conflict between stakeholders, in particularly in the testing environment.
• Work with third parties to deliver innovative solutions to problems

The successful candidate will ideally possess a relevant educational qualification and vocational experience in a similar role.
