Eden Scott’s client are one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK with around 10 million customers and over 20,000 employees.
Continued commercial success and expansion means they seeking applications from enthusiastic Electrical Engineers to work within their gas fired Power Station near Peterhead.
The Electrical Engineer as part of a small team, is responsible for the delivery of safe, cost effective and efficient maintenance for all plant at the Power Station which contributes to delivering plant reliability and availability.
Responsibilities include:
To ensure maintenance practices and instructions for all plant are complete and updated as required.
Maintenance instructions for new plant are put in place.
Plant defects are resolved in a timely manner.
Plant failures are investigated to establish cause and, where appropriate, implement design changes to avoid repeat failures.
All statutory maintenance/inspections are conducted by competent personnel.
Plant improvement projects with an economic benefit are identified, justified and implemented.
All contracts are adequately specified, managed and, where appropriate, supervised on site to ensure all work carried out by contractors is successful and delivered on time and to budget.
Providing technical expertise in an allocated field while able to work on a diverse range of technologies and equipment.
The successful candidate will ideally possess a relevant qualification in an engineering discipline and possess relevant vocational experience in a similar role. Ideally in process plant maintenance, preferably in a thermal power plant environment.
