3rd Party Interface and Programme Manager
£350 per day

Expected to open in 2018, Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station will generate sufficient low-carbon energy to power five million homes. It’s part of a mix of measures, including renewables, designed to make the UK both low-carbon and to improve its energy security. Hinkley Point C is expected to employ up to 5,000 people during its construction alone, and it’s during this phase that UK Power Network Services will initially be involved – in building, operating and maintaining the power network.
The 3rd Party Interface and Programme Manager is responsible for managing the interface with all 3rd party contractors and the project programme ensuring that the Construction Electricity supply project work delivery and associated resources are properly and efficiently scheduled in order to achieve the client’s requirements.
The successful candidate will:
- Have an engineering background, so you will have an understanding of the construction lifecycle from a hands-on perspective and have an awareness of electrical engineering principles (HV and LV)
- Possess proven construction experience working within a planning environment
- Be able to demonstrate experience of working on medium to large-scale schemes with a Main Contractor
- Be CDM trained and hold an IOSH / NEBOSH qualification
- Ideally hold an industry related degree (or equivalent)
- Ideally hold PRINCE 2 or membership of the APM
- Be fully conversant with common planning packages i.e. Primavera P3, MS Project
- Possess good communication skills
- Be keen to work both on your own and part of a growing team
- Hold a full clean UK driving license
